Before catching wind of this latest project “Not an Album”, I had not heard any other music from the artist by the name of Tech Club, but after listening I can definitely say that I am glad that I took the time to listen to this new project. With notable features such as Lil QWERTY, SAIAH, Papichuloteej, Teejayx6, and more on this 9 song project, the best of Tech Club is shown through his natural talent to create a unique sounding track as well as his ability to collaborate with other artists that help push him to different levels.

The instrumentation on all the tracks is amazing and provides little unique ear candy sounds all throughout each song to keep the listener on their toes. One My favorite example of this is the eclectic mix of sounds on the track “Don’t Take it personal”. The beat starts with a seemingly off kilter pattern that is hard to catch at first but works super well. Another favorite track off this project for me was “Pick Up The Pace // Girl 2 CJ IV rwrk”. The piano plucks incorporated into the beat gives the song this grand type of feeling and the melodic vocals from Tech Club compliment this instrumentation really well.

The switch up midway through is also a large part of the reason why this song has to be my favorite. The last 25 seconds of the track is a completely different type of vibe from the beginning portion and this switch up has me wishing the song would go on even longer. This body of work presents many ideas that are refreshing to hear and creates an engaging listening experience overall.

I can definitely say that this has encouraged me to go into exploring the rest of Tech Club’s discography to find more great music. Stream “Not an Album '' by Tech Club Linked Below!
