Reagan Capaci is an artist who I’ve always kept on my radar because it’s not every day that you come across a vocalist with a unique sound such as hers. Releasing music as far back as 2018, we have finally been given the first full length solo project by Reagan titled “See It Yet?”

She is a vocalist who is amazingly talented and is a rising star based out of Las Vegas, but also spent a good portion of her life in Arizona attending college. The first song that put me on to her music, like many others, was her breakout single “Don’t Recommend”, which actually came out all the way back in June of 2021. This song put her in front of so many new fans and it now sits at over 2 million streams on spotify alone. This record is the first track off of her new project and it still hits the same way as when I first listened to the song. This perfectly sets the tone and is followed up by another one of the main singles she released leading up to this project. This second track, which is called “ Bad 4 U”, is another bouncy R&B/Soul track that has Reagan’s signature vocals layered all throughout. I really like how she seems to be experimenting a bit with different vocal effects on many of the songs, such as the heavy autotune outro vocals on the  tracks “Over and Over” and “Bad 4 U”.

One of my favorite songs off the project would have to be the last track “Need Love”, because I really enjoyed the sound selection and chord progression used all throughout this song as well as  the smooth vocals during the infectious hook. Speaking of sound selection, the use of piano seems to be very prominent in most if not all of these songs. This just shows that Reagan definitely has an ear for what goes well with her vocals and the way she comfortably slides on all the beats just solidifies this as true. The subject matter of love and relationships is very prominent in all of the tracks off this project making it a very focused and concise listen going through all 7 tracks.

Check out these songs off her project “See it Yet?” which will be linked at the bottom of the.  Reagan Capaci’s music is a much needed breath of fresh air and I’m truly excited to see her continue to impress with future releases.
