I was so happy to stumble across this new group called S.A.M.N X because they have all the qualities to potentially be the hottest group to come out of Arizona. This group, whose name is spelt with a silent N, has just released their new EP titled “SOCIETY” which shows that this group contains very talented individuals. Standing out amongst the plethora of music that is being released every day is not easy, but these exciting artists make it seem easy with their energetic group dynamic and engaging production on all of their tracks.
To begin with, one of the first things I noticed about this EP is that it has a cinematic feel to it and, just like a movie, the whole EP transitions smoothly from song to song while blending all the different moods into a cohesive final product. The first track “H.O.A” sets the mood with dramatic narration at the start of the song leading into a melodic chorus followed by assertive rap vocals on the verses. This intro song is then followed by a streak of high energy bangers back to back that all seamlessly flow together. One thing I love about all of the tracks on this project is that they have so many different vibes to the table. The production is always changing which constantly keeps the listener engaged no matter how long the song is.
Some of my favorite highlights include the bouncy outro with vocal chops that are on the outro of the track K.O.D. The beat switch up that happens at the end of “D.O.N.T.P.U.S.H” along with the voice narration that perfectly transitions into transition into the next song is amazing. I also want to highlight the song “AMATEUR”, which was one of the lead singles going into the project, because this is personally my favorite song off of this project. The vocal chop sample is so infectious and the rapping is on point from start to finish on this track. The group is so versatile and they clearly draw inspiration from many different art styles. Labeling them as merely a rap group would be a huge injustice because they display their ability to tap into other genres, such as alternative music, which I especially saw on the outro track titled “C.O.2”.
I seriously advise everyone to go and check out this group’s music which is linked down below. Super proud to say that we are the first to cover this group, because they are definitely up next if they keep this up! The project was so fun to listen to and I genuinely believe that this group has what it takes to reach whatever goals they have in mind.
