Arizona based band The Color 8 has had their foot on the gas ever since the beginning of the year and have been keeping the momentum consistently going without taking a second to pump the breaks.

This new track from the band titled “Hot Girl” is little bit more mellow of a song in comparison to a few of their other records, but it still has that electric energy which their songs typically are known to have. The melodic singing in the hook provides a memorable part in the song that listeners are able to easily pick up on and sing along with. The track contains lyrics that mainly surround the idea of trying to find that significant other that you have things in common with, such as liking rock music which is sung in the hook, and would also be willing to go the distance for no matter where things end up.

The switch up to the verse has to be one of my personal favorite moments in the song, because on first listen it was really unexpected and it brings a whole other dynamic to the energy of the song that I really love. This is a very solid track from the band and sounds like it will be very fun to perform live at their shows.

Speaking of the long list of show and tour opportunities that they have been on a streak of stacking up, it is great to see them collecting wins because they put in a lot of work and are very present in the music scene of Arizona.
